Ep 074: 5 things I do everyday to keep my home running

Podcast_Ep074_website_image.png

Running my home is something I have come to love more than most things in my life. I get a lot of satisfaction out of living in a home that feels managed and unburdened by stress. There are a few key habits I've formed that help me do that.

Today, I'm pulling back the curtain and sharing 5 things I do everyday (ish. Everyday-ish...) that keep my home running like a well-oiled machine and not like my '93 Toyota Tercel. These habits have been formed over time, after a lot of trial and error. They keep us on track as a family and me on track as a mom, wife and business CEO.

WHAT YOU'LL HEAR TODAY:

  • The 5 habits I’ve formed that help me run my home smoother with the help of my family.

  • Why my nightly routine is one of the best habits I’ve devveloped.

  • How getting rid of clutter daily keeps us on track as a household.

Ep 071: How to develop a nightly routine you can fall in love with

Podcast_Ep071_website_image.png

I have a pretty strict philosophy in my home: if it can be done at night rather than in the morning, I'm doing it. I love my nighttime routine with all my heart because it allows me to go to bed, set up for success for the next day before it even begins. I want to make future me proud of present me and not grumpy for having to start the morning off in chaos.

Today, we're talking not only about the importance of having a great evening routine, but how you can start to create one that you can stick to and fall in love with.

WHAT YOU'LL HEAR TODAY:

  • The reason I started going hard with my nightly routine and how it saved me from crippling anxiety.

  • Why I focus more on my evenings than I do on my mornings.

  • The mindset behind creating lasting routines in your life.

  • The one question to ask yourself that will allow you to create a winning nighttime routine for you and your entire family.

Ep 070: My story: From pregnant college dropout to mom boss CEO

Podcast_Ep070_website_image.png

I took a very deep breath as I hit publish on this episode. I’m raw, I’m vulnerable, I’m speaking my truth and telling my story. My journey from a young and naive 22 year old pregnant college drop out to mom boss CEO now has not been without it’s issues and hurdles. In fact, the path has been littered with roadblocks and navigating them has taught me the true meaning of grace.

My story is an important part of my greater mission to reach moms where they are now and empower them to be the best version of themselves. I hope you hear my words (through held back tears at many points) and let them inspire you to go forth in your mom journey with confidence.

WHAT YOU'LL HEAR TODAY:

  • Why I thought college was the only path I could take in life.

  • My reasoning for dropping out and never going back.

  • How my family handled the news that I was pregnant and not going back to school and why I credit their support for much of my success.

  • The rock bottom we hit in our lives and marriage and how we were able to come out of it better than before.

  • The genesis of Mother Like a Boss and how it all started in a Panera restaurant.

Ep 068: Dealing with toxic relationships as a mom

Podcast_Ep068_website_image.png

We're deviating a bit from the lightheartedness of Mother Like a Boss to discuss a pretty important topic: toxic relationships.

We know them. We've been a part of them in some form. They strip us of joy and keep us wrapped up in stress.

This episode is my call out to all my sweet mamas that are dealing with or engaged in toxic relationships right now, whether in the home, with family, at work or with friends. You deserve better. You can make the choices to eliminate the toxic parties and relationships from your life.

WHAT YOU'LL HEAR TODAY:

  • The definition of a toxic relationship

  • Why I define relationships as toxic and not people

  • How toxic relationships differ from abusive relationships

  • What to do if you find yourself in this kind of relationship
